Tips for Local Lakes:

Lake Eady, is full of Walleyes and Northern Pike.
White 1/4 oz jigs with a minnow or powerbait are formidable combination.
Look for rock bars or reefs in 5-15′ of water that drop off to deeper water.
When you are on the fish, hang on because the bite can last for hours.   Typically I like to switch to a power bait minnow when the walleyes are feasting, this saves time from having to replace a live minnow.

Casting with a gold Little Cleo will also bring in both Pike and Walleye.

Sturgeon Lake is a huge, clear 50 mile fishery.  Whiskey Jack’s is conveniently located in a 2000′ wide channel which provides wind/wave protection for your boat.
The channel also provides an opportunity lots of smaller Northern Pike, thus it makes a great close place to fish for your younger members of your crew.  Out on larger part of the lake you will find Monster Pike and Walleye and Lake Trout.

For Walleye, typically a Pink or White Jig, 1/4 oz and larger, water depths 10-30′

For Lake Trout, typically a 1/2 oz Jig, water depths 50′ or greater.
